General FAQ'S

What is IDS?
IDS (Intelligent Digitizing Software) is the newest and the most innovative automatic digitizing software on the market today. This software system was designed with novice and advanced digitizers in mind. The IDS system allows the user to take pictures from a scanner or digital camera, any true type font, digital images, & clip art and turn them into stitched designs automatically.

What is Automatic Digitizing and how can it help me?
Automatic Digitizing Software was developed to help users digitize artwork {turn artwork into stitches} more efficiently with fewer steps. With IDS automatic digitizing software, you can create a stitchable design within minutes. IDS automatic digitizing with the advanced stitch processor can help you digitize faster with the automatic image to stitch creation feature. Instead of "re-drawing" the original artwork with manual punch tools, IDS reads and digitizes the image in just a few steps. Please download the quick demo for further explanation.

Are there different levels of IDS?
Yes, IDS is available in many different configurations. The Intelligent Digitizing Software system can be broken up into the various portions of the program. Please contact a sales representative for further questions.

How many fonts do I get in this program?
With the IDS system, you are only limited to the number of Windows True Type™ Fonts that are installed in your computer. IDS will read and convert any true type font into stitches. You are able to download and install true type fonts from a number of different resources. In addition to TTF, there are 20+ pre-digitized fonts that are optimized for embroidery.
